I could not pass the recon level even though I have found all the possible fleets. Nor have I been able to unlock any new weapons despite the fact that the game told me I have unlocked something. Can I at least know what the three helicopters in the game are?

There is the FA-223 you start with, the Alouette and the MI-24. They should be in the hanger when you unlock them.

Lol I actually managed to complete the whole game. I have unlocked everything from the weapons to the three helicopters before I saw your reply. Thanks btw. From my experience, I would advise you to fix some stuff in the game. At its current state, it has alot of bugs. Here is a list of stuff I have encountered:

  1. rear view camera glitch
  2. infinite bombs/missiles (not sure if it was intentional or not)
  3. the Alouette not able to fire missiles because missiles isn't unlocked yet rendering it useless until missiles are unlocked (similar symptoms occurs to FA-223 and MI-24)
  4. completed levels are not actually saved. For instance, if you completed lvl 8 the game sends you back to lvl 5 when you select continue
  5. The MI-24 immediately plummets to the ground when using the gunpod (same applies to Alouette when firing locked missiles/rockets)
  6. Recon lvl doesn't complete when all fleets are found (It only completes when you destroyed the ships. Not sure if you were suppose to destroy them in the first place)

I guess that's all for bugs and glitches. The rest of this list includes some suggestions to the game such as:

  1. A tutorial for the controls (believe me it took me 1 hour to figure out the controls just by ramdomly pressing buttons)
  2. A level select when the whole game is completed with everything unlocked.
  3. a custom mission that the player can customize and play on (I really want to have a dogfight with all the helicopters. This is an optional suggestion. You don't have to add it into the game if you don't want to)

That's pretty much it for my review. For a game that was based on a dream, it's pretty decent. I can't complain much. Dreams are pretty surreal.

Thank you! I hope to getting around making a fixed up version of this game eventually and i will come back to this review for notes.

Another great flying game! I'm gonna be honest I am not the biggest fan of the 2d style but I think it has its charm and is definitely unique. I like the way the game is laid out and how the story has been paced so far (I haven't beaten it yet). There are a couple of bugs and suggestions I want to highlight though. Firstly a list of the controls would be nice. I managed to figure it out but I didn't realize how to swap weapons at first. I also didn't even realize there was a rearview camera until I accidentally pressed C. On the topic of the rearview camera, it also sometimes just breaks for no reason, and will flip the texture of the helicopter without moving the Camera at all. The only other major bugs I encountered had to do with the other helicopters. This may very well be a feature but the alouette has no gunpods and sort of makes it useless in the beginning since the bombs are difficult to aim. Also pressing space in the alouette and Hind (with guns equipped) moves the aircraft down like you are holding down collective. This has killed me a couple times. One last suggestion would be to add some sort of popup that tells you the objective so you don't forget, or how many targets remaining so that you have a rough idea of how far along the mission you are. Fantastic game though!

One thing I forgot to note here is that I really liked how you used the normal maps to add depth to the 2d helicopter sprites.

Thank you for playing my game! While its not my highest priority i will look into fixing the bugs you mentioned.

I'd recommend making the helicopters less heavy and the acceleration more powerful for better flying, adding AOE to the gunpods, buffing friendly ships (3v1 losses), adding heavier weight for bombs, and making bullets travel further.

The style of the game is quite nice, but the controls and balancing are quite poor and make the game quite unbearable.

Otherwise, it's pretty good.
